They're sitting on 4 billion cash and practically debt free, so I think the credit will be fine.

That is what you would call fraud and one can only hope karma bites you in the arse one day for doing that. If that is in fact what you are doing.

Did this yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the 10% bonus. Ended up getting more for the Series S than I payed for it a couple years ago.

Quote from gummi-eater :
Smoothbrains think it's going to go out of business soon haha.
"Cohen has detailed the company's strategy. The income statement shows cost and margin improvements. And there was quick decision-making required to capitalize on the recent stock surge to raise funds. But it's unclear if GameStop is doing anything else to change its fate. With the lack of transparency plus revenues that just keep falling, it appears the company has an execution problem.

An inability to execute is a death sentence for GameStop, no matter how much cash sits on the balance sheet. Even if the company uses its newfound funding to acquire profitable businesses, running and growing those new assets cannot be done well without solid implementation skills."

"GameStop has a bunch of cash, no debt and a dying business model. To be fair, there may be turnaround opportunities involving acquisitions and/or organic growth initiatives. Unfortunately, silence from the leadership team about the company's future is a dealbreaker. There are too many other good companies out there to put money in a stock that requires so much blind faith."

I traded in my S for trade credit if $247.50 last week, bought an additional gift card from Kroger for 2x Fuel points to make the entire purchase of an X on gift cards. X was delivered in 2 days but price of refurb significantly dropped the day after I ordered so I went to return in store unopened. It wasn't giving the GameStop employee the option to put the return back on gift cards and forced him to return as cash to me, he put it back to my Amex card (as the store just opened and he was low on cash) I didn't even use this card to to buy the X (I've already received the refund on my card 2 days later). Not sure how or why that happened but basically I got the cash amount for my trade. I was (mostly) respectful and just bought it straight back from them. But realistically I could have shopped around with the 'cash' refund. Anyway just a heads up on that glitch trade for credit -> cash.

You also get a $5 monthly credit. I use it monthly on a pack of cards. You're paying 25 up front yeah, but you get your value retuned throughout the year by using your 5 dollar credit on things 5 or less every month, and deals like this.
