How would this work as a TV, hooked up to a Roku box or something similar? I'm picturing 2 of these side-by-side - one as a monitor, the other as a TV.

Monitors tend to have better viewing angles and should be better in general. Although monitors are mostly expected to be used at closer distance. If you plan to view at a closer distance, this could very well serve your purpose. I use an identical monitor same size, same resolution although from LG and its my work and media consumption device.

I meant how does it compare to a 4k curved monitor if one has an option. Same specs but one is curved and this one isn't. How would it compare to the dell-s3221qs that is 32' and 4k?
