Cheap Hisense TVs are using a known problematic storage chip that causes premature failure error saying "storage is full" and the TV shuts down. Not sure which models are affected but I just saw a YT video about it where a guy had to desolder the bad chip.. an SK Hynix chip and replace it then the tv worked just fine. He indicated that "thousands" of the Hisense TVs were sold with this bad chip that was prone to failure, and they knew they were selling crap.

I understand it's a different model. But my H6500F died about 4 1/2 years or so in.

Not sure if this is good for a TV or what but I'll probably stay away from this brand moving forward, it was also very quirky and slow with the apps. Lots of rebooting.

My 65 inch Hisense TV died with software update issue after 3 years, no warranty no support, just thrown in Garbage TV.

I will stay away from this Brand

have a hisense 50 inch 4k tv for more than 5 years. still working fine. maybe I am lucky or small size has less issues.

I purchased 3 Hisense 55 inchers from a $200 deal about 5 years ago. One completely died 6 months ago. One has a steady slight flicker (watchable) for the last 3 months and and the 3rd is still working just fine. I guess unrelated to this thread but, Hisense is no longer a brand I'm a fan of.

I've had two Hisense TVs the 55" H9g and the 50" U6HF. All worked flawlessly and still going strong. But I did have some workarounds. I disabled the native internet on the tv, then used an external streaming device such as a chromecast on both , disabling HDR output which IMPROVED picture on both TVs, and was able to have the latest Google software which eliminated all glitches. In general doing this with all TVs leads to significant improvements.

I am masochist: I had a Hisense 6570F bought almost 4 years ago for $300 delivered and recently it was hit by the "storage is full" bug so I simply recycled.
Bought Hisense 75U7N with 5 years warranty by All State.
According to rtings this is one of the best image quality / price you can get today.
After 5 years, I will look again...

My uncle just bought this tv and had it delivered here so it's actually sitting in the box in the other room, right now. No clue if it's any good but I do have a hisense TV, myself in the living room, albeit a different model, that's 65 inches. I've had it for about 2 years now. I confess, the software is glitchy at times and unresponsive other times. I have had the "storage is full" issue as well. My remedy has been to simply go into the settings and manually restart the TV about once or twice a week. Since doing that, I haven't really had any problems at all. For whatever reason, you just have to kinda "reboot" it like a pc periodically. So for me, I do it at least once a week, like every sunday. And since doing that, it's basically been all good.

I have 6 tv spanning 8 years - all going strong.
Only issue is the Roku one has random wifi forgetfulness, and thats really Roku being weird....

For these cheaper TVs my advice is to not connect it to the internet. In the settings set it to go to HDMI input on start up. Then just plug in your own smart device. Even a $20 firestick 4k stick will suffice. If you do this you save yourself a ton of headache.

I don't know how this compares to the R6 version at Walmart aside from Fire vs Roku but the R6 is $238.

Very tempted as an outdoor tv as it's brighter than my current tv (a 60" R6 from 2018) and fits in my enclosure. I have the 55" Roku version of this TV from 2 years ago in my bedroom and it looks great. I can't seem to find any tv that is +500 nits and close to 60" which is the largest tv I can fit in my enclosure.

Were they from the Black Friday target deal for the Hisense 55" TV (55R6040F) in 2019?

Ive had this tv since Jan 2023, for the price it is a great tv. I use a firestick, I just cant stand how slow the tv is by default. Have a pc with a 6750xt connected to it, 4k with hdr looks as good as you can hope for a tv in this price range. The only thing I wish the tv had was a higher refresh rate, my pc can play most games at highest settings at over 120 fps when connected to my monitors, connected to the tv I just get a stable 60 at highest settings for everything I throw at it.
