notes: 1) USB-IF certified meaning the design has passed stringent tests to make sure it will deliver as stated 2) It is not for data (USB 2 speeds), but really just for power. 3) Overkill if you dont have any devices that uses 240W, but is on sale, so if you need a charging cable this is a good one to get

Yeah but even then most monitors with power delivery top out at 90w. But with that said, for $7, this is a deal especially for a name brand certified cable. It should also work on a thunderbolt connection up to 20Gb.

Those will be much thicker. These charging cables are much more backpack friendly.

I doubt if you can get a real TB4 cable (intel certified) for just a few dollars more. Most likely a fake. i have given up purchasing cables from Ali/Temu because the majority of cables are unstable/dont work/dont follow specs/uncertified.

This is for a name brand certified cable.

How unfortunate that I bought one of these cables at full price last Jan only for Amazon reduce the cost in half.

Ok, so I just realized the version I bought is a data cable that features video so that's why...

USB C cables are the most user unfriendly cables I know of. There are about a dozen or more flavors or capabilities and there is no standard labeling except for thunderbolt 3 and 4. I now label each new cable: power: xW, protocol: e.g USB3.1g2,or USB 4, usb 2, active (A)/Passive (P), DP (displayport) 1.3, 1.4... Since we're talking a few dollars cable, why get something limited to power only when for roughly the price of 2 of these (less if you wait for discounts), you can get a 240W cable with LED indicator and 40Gbps data transfer:

I love this company's products. I've bought dozens of their LED charging cables and had a problem with one after some months and they quickly replaced it.

Also, data or charging only, ANY 240W cable is going to be thick and stiffer than a 100W cable. It's unfortunate but necessary to have the thicker wires for the higher power.

FWIW, 240W cables have very limited use right now as practically no device supports 240W through USB-C. The large majority max @ 100W and a few use their own proprietary charger to get 130W or more to a laptop for charging. So if you have a gaming laptop with a big 230W charger with a barrel connector and try using using a 240W usb-c charger and this cable, you will most likely only get 100W.

I've had one of these cables for a few months now. It does indeed let my S24U charge at insane speeds and I've powered my Surface Pro 8 with it, no problems. That said, there's something lose or broken in the connector as I can get it to stop charging if I bend it slightly in a certain direction.
