The sodium, and the carbs/sugar are probably what made you feel awful. They pump these full of salt to make sure you can't eat a ton without drinking a liquid, and they'll bloat you right up.

the reason you felt bad is because these are jacked up in sodium.

one order of five boneless wings from Applebee's has 770 mg of sodium which is equivalent to 33% of the USRDA. and that's just the wings without the sauce on them. putting sauce on them is going to double this amount of sodium. so you're getting like 66% of your sodium in one order of five wings with sauce.

I'm a really big guy and I ate 20 and felt real bad for several hours after. 20 doesn't sound like a lot, but some of these were pretty big pieces, plus I drank 2 glasses of sweet tea as they are a bit spicy. My plan was to eat 20 and then order 10 more, but that did not happen. I had to force myself to eat the last 3 or so, as I was so full, but I didn't want to leave just a few on the plate or have to take them home.
Is it worth 50 cent a wing? I think so, but they are not gourmet or anything. Just good enough for a cheap meal out and not break your bank if your trying to stick to some type of budget.

My wife had a great idea, she said next time, we order 20 to go, and pick up a pizza. Then we go home and watch a movie and have pizza and wing night. I totally agree.

We went and tried them, the Sweet Asian Chile was our favorite. If you think you can wolf down a lot of wings, you might be in for a reality check. I'm a really big guy and I ate 20 and felt real bad for several hours after. 20 doesn't sound like a lot, but some of these were pretty big pieces, plus I drank 2 glasses of sweet tea as they are a bit spicy. My plan was to eat 20 and then order 10 more, but that did not happen. I had to force myself to eat the last 3 or so, as I was so full, but I didn't want to leave just a few on the plate or have to take them home.

the weird thing is for some reason, the one next to my house isnt listed on their online local stores listing. its still opening though.

Are these any good compared to Wingstop? Wingstop is better than BWW for me. Still kinda mad at them for the whole DATE NIGHT PASS debacle, but willing to give them a shot.

Will never go back to Applebee's if they give me free wings... All of these chain stores have gone to the dogs since covid. Bad service and worse food.. apple bees tops my list of the worst of the worst

I've not been to Wingstop, but I'd say they are on par with BWW. I like their extra hot, everything else, minus their regular vial is pretty salty, or at least more noticeably salty. Nothing against salt, just the bearing is so heavy to cause the issues others are describing.

Wingstop and BWW are the same in some ways. Their wings or boneless wings are heavily breaded. Little to no meat. So you are basically eating batter. Plus, Wingstop are also on the heavily salted. I have not eaten at Applebees for more than a decade. From reading SDers post Applebees is no better than Wingstop and BWW.
