Creed has been reformulated many times, turning much weaker than it used to be. The company was bought by a venture capital firm a few years ago and the consensus among people is that the quality went down and the price up. I have never experienced the old batch Creeds, but the new one is extremely poor performing.

A couple years ago someone recommended ARMAF Club De Nuit Intense Man as an alternative to this. It's about 1/10th the price and my wife loves the smell just as much.

Got this as a birthday gift. 30 minutes after spraying and the scent is only. Noticeable if you put your nose directly on the area you sprayed. Anyone standing next to you will not smell it. Many people mentioned this issue in the last deal and thought maybe they got a bad batch or something, but I experienced the same issue. It doesn't last long at all.

Is there any way to actually smell this stuff before dropping such a wad of cash on it?

Do they change the formulation for Costco? I've read that the le labo batches haven't been on point with retail, some suspect Costco is purchasing surplus stock from previous seasons

Montange is mid, cedrat boise by Mancera is very similar yet elevated and better.
I hear this all the time, but I don't think they smell similarly. I have both the original and intense versions and I love both. They are fairly priced at discounters and smell great and last. I bought Creed from Costco last year and returned it because the longevity was so poor.

Excellent deal if you're in the market for this.

I use MB Explorer as a daily when I don't want to use Aventus.
This scent DNA is one of my most complemented.

I know exactly what OPs talking about. I sprout mung beans on a damp paper towel in my desk drawer. Very nutritious, but they smell like death.

Yes really, they don't have anywhere you can smell a sample like most other colognes at department stores? Are you expected to spend $200 without knowing what it smells like?

Saks Fifth, Neimen Marcus, Nordstroms, Bloomingdale - but you got to be in a very nice area think NY 5th Avenue. Also, look up 'FragDecants' on reddit - People selling 5ml &10ml samples from a larger bottle.
