The product information shows these connectors are UL listed. The connectors meet all NEC code requirements regarding splicing and terminating conductors
Im not saying "this product" is counterfeit, but rather that fake marks are a rampant problem that are nearly impossible to police in an open-marketplace like amazon.

If so I only have a few use cases that fit those needs. Wish they did things like 2 to 5 leads going in to 1 or two out for fan connectors.

But yes, definitely connect wires of the same type. As someone else said, these are just a quick, convenient and (possibly) more secure wire nut. You'll often see all the neutrals in a box wired together, and then a pigtail or two coming off to the switches. If you had a 3, 4, or 5 port wago, you could accomplish the same thing with one of these.
Just be careful when you snap the orange levers. You can get a bad finger injury when you fidget with these.

E.g. spicy 2 wires I use 3 position terminal, splice 3 wires I use a 4 position etc.
