I see warnings now about these basic test lights though - they can damage the more sensitive circuitry in modern cars as they draw too much current for the lighbulb. You'll want an LED test light if you're serious.

I don't trust that wire long term and it's rare that I've seen anyone to back to redo things. Make sure you give those crimpers a try. Wish it had more connectors. And add in something to heat the heat shrink.
Just read the above post about the test light. Led would definitely be better.
