Calpak is underrated IMO, my Hue carry-on ($119 sale) has about 90k miles under it's belt. It's sized for international carry-on and I haven't had any issues w/ European cheap carriers. I can get about a weeks worth of clothes for mild/warm climates (no beach) and I've gone 3.5 weeks w/ planned laundry runs.
It does have some scuffs from domestic gate checks, but I see those as battle scars. No dents and the corners are intact. The wheels have held up well but I'd like to try a 2 wheeler next time, they seem to do better on cobbles. The only knock would be their zipper pulls could be a little beefier, especially since the TSA lock is integrated.

You can almost always find this brand at tjmaxx. I've bought an entire set and packing cubes.

Experts swear by softside. No hard side will hold up especially at this price range. Bought a samsonite from Costco and it didn't even last 2 trips.

Or you get PC, polycarbonate avoid ABS. ABC PC Blend or for gods sake Polypropylene..cheapest

Out of 8 pieces, 3 are totally worthless...in my opinion...and cubes are not that helpful either. So $180 for two languages only... basically... again, that is how I see it... other may still use rest of 6 items
