As someone who has been riding electric skateboards to work often, wear a helmet! 18MPH is faster than you think.
Absolutely. My 10 year old wiped out earlier this week on this exact model going at full speed. She hit a raised piece of the sidewalk while following me. Got road rash all over. Thank God she didn't get seriously hurt.

does restored mean only 50% battery capacity left?
I bought a refurb from Segway/Ninebot last fall(not walmart) and they were essentially brand new. I have put about 400 miles on mine this summer. Use it all the time and love it. Steal at $250 for the F35.

I'd want to use an electric skateboard, but it seems extremely dangerous, even with a helmet. In fact, for me it's probably a lot more dangerous to use an electric skateboard with a helmet than an electric scooter without a helmet.
I have both, the Electric Skateboard is significantly more dangerous. The skateboards go way faster though, 28MPH vs 18MPH for comparable models, but a scooter at 18mph feels great, a skateboard is starting to feel scary at 18mph.

Try going 42mph on a Laotie! I wear a motorcycle helmet, seated for a lower CoG. Thrilling! I only commute 2 miles with bike lane and hardly any traffic

It's less dangerous than some of the motorcycles around here in AZ going 100mph without a helmet

What did you end up doing? I have a Gotrax with a rear flat, I tried to remove the tire to attempt to repair the tube and I simply couldn't remove the tire. I ended up saying screw it and bought this on Amazon for $40 instead.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

Now I'm just fingers crossed and hope the front wheel never goes flat.
Yeah, I replaced 4 solid rubber tires on my 2 sons' scooters. It was easier then replacing the tubes in the tires. The last set of rubber tires seem to be softer than the first two (~2 years ago); both are 8.5 in, and I'd change it as soon as you can.

Double-check the exclusions. I bought some refurbished ES4s last year with my Amex Platinum, and when I went to file a claim, they denied me because they considered them motorized devices, which are excluded.

Is it worth it to get the 4 years warranty from Allstate?

ie, if it craps out at year 3, would they give you another one?
