The scoot arrived and the battery appears to have been replaced with a larger capacity battery. 10mah instead of 7.5. couple small scratches. Will give it a test run tomorrow but it appears I have an F40 instead of an F35 since the only difference seems to be the battery capacity.
both the F35 and F40 suppose to have a 10200mah battery, think you're confusing it with the F30. source: https://wiki.scooterhacking.org/d...=nbfseries

yes, esp for the advertise range of 40 km (25 miles) would require the 10200mah battery. i purchase the F35 via ebay instead for $239 and waiting for it to arrive, crossing my finger it's in a similar condition as yours.
i play around with a friend's F35 for a couple days in NYC and imo it's good for 15 miles max but 12 miles to be safe. it becomes unusable around <15% battery when it goes into like power saving mode and 9mph.

I'm 260, any suggestions?
You'll really only have issues with hills. But ideally aim for something over 1kw.

Was it because of the pot or the holes on the pavement?
I think mostly from people hitting curbs or just falling off. most people rode them on the sidewalks

I don't think you can take it back to a Walmart store. It is not sold by Walmart, I think you would have to ship it back to Segway.
My impression from the walmart policy is that you can return to the store.

When you return an item shipped by a Marketplace seller to a store:
  • We'll send your return item back to the Marketplace Return Center for processing.
    • Please allow up to two business days after dropping off your return at a store for tracking to be available.
  • Once the Marketplace Return Center receives your return item, we'll process the refund within two business days.

Next time this happens for anything (non-car) you need to tell them they are running a foul of the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. Ask for an explanation why they feel they are not, noting you are attempting to avoid small claims court to recoup your losses that include your personal time, expense (if incurred, like fuel and wear and tear on transportation), and compensation for the period where your property was unavailble for your use (think how much a rental would be each day, petty I know, but you would be entitled to it) beyond the initial promised warranty repair process. That usually gets 'exceptions' made (total is because it should not be an exception for them to fulfill their freaking warranty). If not, you could make bank from a judge when they are awarding damages from them violating the act. Definetely a hassle, but that's the better option when dealing with companies that pull this crap.
Lol, thanks. Maybe I'll give that a try next time. My honest opinion is that these companies are well versed in exploiting every loophole they can and will do everything in their power to avoid paying out. For example, it felt like they were intentionally delaying every communication to the max. They would ignore emails from me, then I'd follow up, then they'd wait until just before the deadline to reply to send a response. It dragged things out. I felt like it was going to take months for a resolution, if one came. I could easily see that it would take a full year before they either got the part or refunded the money.

I would have to wait at least 6 months before it would be considered unreasonable by a judge to make someone wait that long for a repair. Then as soon as I filed a lawsuit, the part magically comes in stock and they send it to me, settling the issue. I could continue the lawsuit to try and recoup the court fees, but that's a lot of time wasted for a few dollars. These scam artists are really good at what they do.

In for one, looking forward to this deal, thanks for sharing. The only thing I'm considering purchasing additionally is a fireproof storage option for batteries since that's truly my only concern, however, I doubt Segway is operating with shoddy batteries as other scooter/hoverboard companies have. I live in the DMV area and saw scooter companies come and go in the district so this is my first time owning one without having to pay to rent one or download an additional app. I'd like to keep this in my car or for trips when I'd like to go sightseeing without the crowds or whenever I want to wear my dog out walking.

Edit: Purchased via eBay with the 20% off coupon, don't know why its saying this deal has expired via Walmart as it is still available via the link.

Just got this from Walmart for all 3 of my orders.

We regret to inform you that the Restore F35 (like New) you purchased is currently out of stock. We propose to send you the Restore F35 (Good) as a substitute. To compensate for this change, we will provide a $60 refund.

Anyone have an opinion on whether the (Good) for $60 less is worth it?

I noted the following difference between (Like New) and (Good):
Restored: Good
Good condition with slight signs of wear/use, including small scuffs, marks, or scratches. Must be professionally inspected, tested, cleaned and, if necessary, refurbished to the condition standard. Comes with a 90-day free return policy.
How it will look:
The item has slight signs of wear/use, including small scuffs, marks, or scratches barely visible when holding the product 12 inches away, and imperceptible to touch.

Restored: Like New
Like-new condition with minor to no imperfections. Must be professionally inspected, tested, cleaned and, if necessary, refurbished to the condition standard. Comes with a 90-day free return policy.
How it will look:
Item appears new but may have slight signs of use, including very light micro-scratches invisible at a distance of 8-12 inches (arm's length).
If item has a screen, it will have no scratches on the screen.

Everything else was the same.

Got the same. Feels like a bait and switch. I'm more concerned about the condition of the battery.
