Incredible case for installing 3.5" hard drives. Install Windows and Stablebit Drivepool and build your 100TB array.

An excellent homelab / NAS case. Space for two 140mm front fans right on the 3.5" HDD bays.

I hear these are super quiet cases. Great for a stealth build.

My current build from 2013 uses the same case but in white. May just get this for the next one.

A great case if you're still sporting an internal blu-ray writer, etc. Most manufacturers have stepped away from any case with this functionality. I'm surprised Fractal Design was still making these, to be honest.

Yeah, it's missing USB-C front headers and other modern conveniences. I got mine, in titanium, in 2017 from Jet.com when they first came on for ~$85+ (great deal at the time) and it's been working well enough since.

It wasn't as silent as I was hoping, but maybe my expectations were unrealistic. I had an after-market air cooler that made way more noise than anything these days. I've since upgraded the mobo to an AM5 with air cooling and it's pretty quiet until the fans rev up.

In for 1 for a future build.

Up to 8 3.5' drives. Gotta go for the Define 7 if you want something more modern or even more drive space.

I have a Define 7. The solid front design leads to terrible airflow. Everything runs too hot. Popping the front or side panels off lead to a large and immediate drop in temperatures. I'm considering just throwing mine away and finding a replacement with better airflow.

I have this case for my 5 drive media server. This case has a premium build and very solid. It is super quiet compared to one I just built with a different case. I biggest difference is this has a well insulated front door that quiets for sound of the front fans.

Lol bought this on 8/19/16 for $90 from Newegg back when online stores didn't charge tax haha.

Then Newegg was like "Hey US government, why don't we just give you a list of names of all our customers who didn't pay taxes and you can send letters to them to request payment Smilie"

Lol fun days

Great case for a nas server. Comes with 8 drive bays but can be expanded by another 7/8 drives with 5.25 to 3.5 brackets and some 3d printed bays.

I bought a Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO for a recent gaming build and I regret not just getting another R5
