Yeah, I noticed that glycerin and sorbitol are the third and fourth ingredients. I'm not militantly against processed foods or anything, but those shouldn't be top-five ingredients in food.

Probably not what I'm looking for anyone. I want something rawhide-free that my dog will gnaw on for a bit and not just eat in a few seconds. Everything we've tried that's marketed as rawhide free has not lasted her thirty seconds.

They're expensive but I'm a pet sitter so I've had my fair share of dogs and dog treats. For a longer lasting chew I'd look at the Himalayan yak cheese chews. I have a pet sit with two medium dogs and those chews last them atleast an hour.

So at 7 oz for $5.60 this is like $12 a pound. You could just buy 2lbs of hamburger or a nice steak, give it a quick sear, and portion it up. Why so expensive?

My dog is my family. I would never feed them subpar stuff. Would you eat stuff out of a bag from a foreign country om the other side of globe.
And this keeps getting posted on SD over and over.....

I have 4 dogs all 13 years old and every one of them gets a rawhide chew every day after dinner as a chewie and have for the last 13 years without issue! They love them and it is their favorite part of the day. I let them outside after eating dinner and they only stay outside for about 3 minutes before they bark and want to come in because they know it is chewie time so I end up having to let them out again after chewie time because they are too excited to get their chewie to do their outside stuff. I hear now that rawhide is dangerous but I just don't believe it! Rawhide is dehydrated and I feel like it is much safer than to give them than anything with chicken in it, human food gets contaminated with bacteria and I doubt pet food manufacturers are as careful as human food makers when dealing with possible bacteria contaminations or other hazzards. I know in the U.S. they are supposed to meet the same standards but the liability is so much less if a pet dies vs a human so I doubt the same care is taken!
