It is so weird some people are turning this into "Dominos is better than Papa John's". You don't eat at Papa John's, don't buy it. This is for people who prefer Papa Johns and would like to pay less to buy.

I am sure there are better pizza places than Papa John's and Dominos,

Thanks OP! We usually do two of the $8.99 large 1 topping carry out specials. Our local PJs is solid... we really enjoy their thin crust, well done. Nice and crunchy!

I had a Papa John gift card that I did not use for 8+ years and one day my balance was gone.

I had to call up their CSR line and they told me they inactivate gift cards after a certain amount of time of no usage.

They send me a new egift card right away with my unused balance. Seems super sketchy to do this- you might want to do the same.

and people thumbed down my saying.

i had a spreadsheet kept track of them. then at one point all of them had $0 value. i couldnt even remember how much i used or have left.

Good info. Were these physical or e-gc? And how old?

After reading these posts, I just checked 3 E-GC from 2016 and they still have the full balance. Spreadsheet says we also have a $10 Physical GC, I've got the number written down but forgot to include the Pin in the spreadsheet and that was from 2015. Hopefully that still has the full balance. EDIT found the physical card from 2015 and with the PIN, still have full $10 balance.

So how old were your zero balance cards?

This would require me eating Papa Johns? I'd rather get Tony's frozen pizza from my local Smiths and eat the cardboard the pizza came on.
Cool, do that then lol.

nice its 35% discount after 2% cb from costco and 2.5% from credit card. combine with their 25% code brings the specialty pizza down from $20 to under $10.

The days of gift cards expiring should be over and might be illegal, depending on where you live (Illinois started that trend, I think). Sometimes they dance around this with promotional bonus gift cards that have expiration dates, but regular gift cards should never expire.

Details say that the GCs don't expire or have fees and more than 1 can be used per transaction.

The 2.5% from Credit Card you were referring... which one? Citi Costco credit card?

btw noone has questioned why they didnt have any promo or coupons during the olympics?
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but how can't you remember how much you used or have left if you had a spreadsheet?

Regardless, if they expire without notice that's BS from PJ!

Our local PJ is really tasty and not too much more expensive than Costco with deals. Our local Dominos is awful. I've also had decent Dominos before and absolutely awful (worst had almost no cheese and zero sauce in Hampton, NH). You'd think every location would be the same for every chain; however, just like my local Popeyes sucks and the one a town over is awesome; just like my local BK is disgusting and most are pretty good…YMMV. It is what is is, ain't what it ain't
