you should never call period. this is how you guarantee an employee either lies to you (claiming it themselves) and/or calling unneeded attention.

This is an old school slickdeal. Too cheap to be true. Could cancel or not cancel. You have the suspense and drama on whether or not it will ship. You hope no one calls the store and ruins the deal for everyone.

Visited the local Costco, was told that they can't sell any of their stock till "the price was fixed", and that "Apple" had directed them to decline any orders that came in at this price. Went home and ordered through Instacart with a delayed delivery time. Order arrived about an hour ago. Guess I got lucky. 86.87$ after discount + 25$ off with Klarna, with taxes, service fee and 5% tip.

Ordered just 2 ipads, no other items at 9:50 AM PT. At 11:35 AM, Instacart shopper texted me to let me know that the iPads were sold out. Order was canceled and refunded. Not as fortunate as in the early days of Slickdeals when it came to pricing errors or amazing deals. Veteran SD'ers would surely recall the HP touchpad deal.

What would you have done? I asked for them to honor the price and eat the cost of the difference and he said he wouldn't. I wasn't going to be a Karen over something like this.

To be honest, it was fun ALMOST getting a deal like this. Haven't got a deal like this since my Eero 6 Pro X3 last sept for $85.07. Not worth getting hung up over it, know what I mean?

I placed an order on Instacart. Said it was about to be delivered then got a cancellation. Driver still showed up with it and gave to me. Do you think they will still charge for it?

Just got mine delivered from the Costco in Orland Park, IL. Wasn't home at the time I ordered at around 11:30 so had to set the delivery for after 4. Was worried it would be cancelled but happy when it showed up. What's weird is this was right around the time the old HP touchpads got marked down at the old HH Gregg and I was able to score a couple of those.
