I mean .... The Elite controllers have it at least twice as bad as cost twice as much... So..... Id rather spend $50 on junk I need than $130 on junk with extra junk.

Meanwhile, my $40 game sir controller is doing on over a year without a problem.

Have one since 2020 and no problem. Loving it.

Heck, this is $40. You're putting too much value on things to be perfect for $5 LOL

I'm just bitter because I've bought 5 of them, 3 have drift… with minimal use

Use the 2 that don't have drift.

I mean, I guess I could take them apart and try to fix them… or get $10 at GameStop for them. But I just have them displayed with my Xbox stuff, taking up space on my shelves. It's a bummer so many of them have issues. I have a metallic one; yellow; and red that went bad.

The only thing I buy an extended warranty for is an Xbox controller. Bought my kid the elite series core controller Xmas 2023. Several months later the headphone jack stopped working and the left bumper intermittently stopped working properly

Still under the original warranty so sent it back and they sent a refurbed one back same color. He says it works better than the original one did when it was new.

I fully anticipate having to use the extended warranty though

Works perfect for any of the games I've played via Bluetooth.

Same. It far less prevalent than the Nintendo Joy Cons in which Nintendo would correct it for free at the expense of time. personally I just use the $40 official pro controller instead which has experience no drift stick for 2 years straight.

All in all, from what I have observed here and elsewhere, The drift stick issue is rather overblown by social media.
