Unfortunately that's the life cycle of every dehumidifier it seems.
I may have just been fortunate, but my current dehumidifier is a Frigidaire that I bought in 2017 and it's been running 24/7 ever since. It just recently started to sound like it might be struggling, so dehumidifier deals are back on my radar.

Hopefully you find one in your area.

cuz op shouldnt need it in his area. not a high humid place and his a/c should take care of that issue already. i think it should be around 98 feellike overthere now
Two stores in the Atlanta area that I checked showed inventory. I went to one store where it showed 1 in stock with the app but the in store handheld showed 2 with a "no home" location. None in the section where these are located (end cap in main isle between hardware and bath fixtures) but found 1 in the area around appliances in the overhead with air cleaners, rug cleaners, etc. This will serve as my backup when the current one (which is a warranty replacement) stops working, which they all do in a short amount of time.

I went to a store and experienced the similar thing. The store staff couldn't find the item while showing one in stock. I tried my best to look around the end of the rows nearby. No luck.
I went to my local Home Depot in Illinois, and it was not with the regular dehumidifiers. I kept looking, and ended up finding it at the front of the store, between the checkouts and the returns, where they have a lot of overflow stuff. They just had one, but a price check returned the regular price of 249

I found one in Eugene, OR, but also found a GE one which was on clearance as well at the same price. I ended up getting the GE one. There are still 1 left from each.
