that means the 4080 would be below 1400 and 4070 below 1k? i think all of those are sadly unrealistic expectations Frown

It's a non-RAID setup. You get two 1TB drives that occupy both SSD slots running as individual drives.
That said, I've had this laptop for several months and it's a beast. I cloned the primary SSD to a 4TB one and did a swap. Plenty of storage now.
