No it doesn't because it's been that price for a month or more now and has been posted at that price multiple times in the past and wasn't well received, and it's been cheaper than that price at least twice directly via Lenovo.
intel is absolutely out of ideas[imgur.com]. Do not pay the premium for 14th gen. You can just get a 13th gen and use the difference to get a 4tb NVME+any ram difference lol
This is a solid deal at this price for what you get, even if you want to do the comparison to the 13th gen and consider 14th gen a wash. I bought this last month at the same sale price to replace a 12th gen Legion 5i and am thoroughly impressed with this 7i. The screen is really nice, and the build quality is solid despite not being an all metal chassis.
In case anyone is curious, this can handle an upgrade to the RAM without any issues. 96GB will work, this kit in particular is one I can confirm https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...UTF8&psc=1
On paper that looks to be the case but the power differences between a desktop 4080 and the laptop 4090 is pretty big. I have this exact laptop and just got an open box gigabyte 4080 and the 4080 is faster by a good bit.
This guy has in game benches...don't go by User Benchmark (or synthetics in general), that's utterly useless.
That said, this is absolutely a desktop replacement. You're looking at ~ 4070 ti performance. That is unheard of performance in a laptop. Throw the naming conventions out the window...like named laptop and desktop cards have never been close in performance in the history of discrete video. The 2080 super was the closest the delta has ever been but this generation at the top end is still very, very competitive.

Have you confirmed the memory speed for this kit in the 83DE000AUS laptop? I'm looking at getting this kit as well. Also, did you keep the two 1TB drives or replace them? And if so, what would you recommend (looking at 4TB drives). Thanks!

I can confirm the kit runs at the intended speeds right from the initial boot up after I installed the kit, didn't even require a firmware/bios update. I was impressed by that.

Lenovo p14s or p16s frequently go down to about $1000. Those aren't gaming laptops though.
I am exactly looking for those models, but haven't seen them yet at the $1000 price point for the whole of this month

I opted to swap out the two 1TB drives and repurposed this amazing drive as my primary drive with a clean install of Windows https://www.amazon.com/WD_BLACK-S...127&sr=8-2
The laptop is running flawlessly, zero regret on the purchase. It's a perfect desktop replacement.
