. Great deal if you have it available. This is the newer version of the telescoping scrubber. Basically same everything except for the obvious soap dispenser, I believe the hose attachment feature is new, and protection from heat failure that the old one was experiencing.

Just FYI, if you can only use the Ryobi 'specially formulated' detergent, that is $20 per 16oz. Also, the tool takes a 3/4" hose connection and most home owners' connections on their homes is going to be 5/8". You can buy adapters for the non-faucet end.

I was today years old when I learned of this product. No clue how long the 16oz will last or what type of scrubber attachments there are. I would like one stiff enough to clean vinyl siding and one soft enough to thoroughly clean my vehicles before I clay bar and wax them.

There are soft, medium, and hard bristles attachments, and many different sizes and designs of those.
If you would be a heavy user, I would wait for a directtoolsoutlet sale and buy a few on sale, because at normal prices they area little pricey. And the way they attach, you do need the Ryobi branded ones.

I thought this was a solid product, I used this for my patio furniture and it really sped up the process. It spins slower than the drill attachments you can buy on Amazon but the length means you can clean it in a comfortable position.

I can imagine that, if people used who-knows-what in there, they'd be flooded with clogging complaints, so they had to say to only use their special soap. It probably works just fine with lots of other detergents, but you might need to clear a clog or two if you're not careful.

Great points to think about. Here's what helped me…

Looks like the diagram has a standard 3/4 hose hookup.

One of the videos mentions the use of their soap, or other general-purpose, outdoor cleaning soap.

Standard garden hose thread is 3/4"? They make 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 hoses with the same ends on them.

I would not use any kind of bristle brush to clean ur car unless it's a piece if crap u don't care about. Especially a powered brush. It will create micro-scratches and look like spiderwebs

If it were me, I'd probably use whatever I wanted, and then flush it out with their soap.

In fairness they make non bristle heads for the old version that I assume fit this as well including microfibers. That said it's still a great way to power scrub dirt INTO your paint and damage it more than clean it.
