I ordered two when they popped up on Woot the first time... and I'm impressed. The quality is far better than I thought it would be. We used ours to float the Colorado River a few weeks ago and they held air well and made the trip a blast.

These are great if you have a car and want something portable. A hard plastic yak is still going to be quicker and more robust, but transportation and storage is always an issue.

Just want to add that this is the Chinook 100 and you're talking about the 120 which are two very different kayaks in terms of size (10' vs 12') and weight capacity. I think spending the extra $15-20 (if it comes back) for the 120 is the better move.

Several weeks ago BOTH the 10 & 12 were available on woot, so they might be talking about the 10s.

I bought the Chinook 120 the last time it popped up on woot. We used it yesterday for the first time and it worked great. Super stable and definitely feels more substantial/robust that the Intex kayak I own.

TBD, but I can already tell that a MAJOR downside to this kayak is drying. The top half and floor are covered in a fabric material which makes it more abrasion and scratch resistant but it is also not water resistant. Our old Intex kayak was just wipe with a towel after use and throw it in the bag and forget until next use. If we do that with this one it will certainly never dry and probably lead to mold so keep this in mind.

Anyone else have experience with drying this kayak or more specifically, what happens if you store it with wet fabric?
