I was able to apply the student/teacher discount at Target making the price $80. Can anyone else verify?

I used one of these for my first 2 kids, love these carriers! If fiancee didn't have a wrap thing for our 1st together I would definitely get one of these again!

Cogitobaby and Sumbaby never really caught on…

We had a Bjorn similar to this…these are great finds at consignment stores because they can't be used for very long, so the wear & tear is minimal for the discount. When my kids were little, I'd have one in a hiking backpack and one in a front carrier. AND THAT WAS JUST FOR DOING PULLUPS!

Good stuff. The only thing I would be cautious of is the color black for use outside in the sun in hot climates. Babies can't regulate their temperature when really young and I could see black getting really hot. Just a thought as that might not be something you consider when buying one of these. I went with light grey in the 'breeze' model and was glad I did but I also live in the south and spent a lot of time outside with my youngin.

Compared to the cheaper alternatives ($30 and under)

What's the difference?

Also, how does this fare vs the WRAP type baby carrier?

TIA! I really REALLY want this, but I don't see why it cost $100 vs the cheaper ones.

(FWIW, I don't mind spending the money if it's justified).

I'm 6ft3 250 lbs and this is one of the only carriers I can wear for longer time periods that doesn't hurt my back. Tried all other sorts that my wife likes (wraps, others in this style).

We bought a cheaper Graco carrier and it cut off our babys circulation when front facing. Switched to a used one of this and it doesn't have this problem.

I will say this one feels higher quality than others and we've been pleased with it. We certainly wouldn't spend $200 though. Even $100 seems steep.

I had no issue finding a used one of these for $30-$40 around me. As another user pointed out, these don't get a huge amount of use

I really like the brand. Much better than alternatives.

I suggest eBay open boxes. Got one for about $40.

Thank you so much for the insight guys! I truly appreciate it!

Onto ebay I go! Smilie I've got a washing machine... and if it's not machine washable I have a carpet cleaner... (I'll just use something gentle like Dawn instead of carpet cleaner).

We've used this on two kids and it's held up beautifully. IMO it's a must-have.

EXACTLY. I also snagged one off NextDoor for $10. Like new. They wash in washing machine and just air dry.

Mom must be a very big lady to carry you around like that
