Too bad Brita filters don't fit PUR pitchers. I would have bought this if they did. PUR could have designed it so they fit. That could have been a way to bring people over to try PUR brand. But of course they want proprietary filters b/c they know that's where the money is. Their loss.

Likely not. PUR, like all farkface water filter makers, is deliberately vague as to certifications of its filters and product line. If you want this in a filter, you need to search for a maker that has a big honking stamp that says: This filter meets or exceeds NSF Standard 53 or NSF Standard 58.

My PUR filters would clog up very quickly. I'd go with Brita or better yet install a sub-$200 RO tap in the kitchen. Just my 3 cents.

As long as I'm not drinking water straight from tap these types of filters seem good enough though obviously not 100% proof. I've had straight tap water from hotels, public water fountains on campus and gyms , and sometimes even straight from my bathroom sink during middle of night wake ups and lazy to go to kitchen lol. And never gotten sick. Currently using brita pitcher with off brand filters from Amazon but it had lots of reviews

I have one of these. They're okay, sometimes I will find black particles (possibly something from inside the filter?) in the top part where you put in water.
It filters out the chlorine taste of tap water. Is it perfect? No, but it's good enough for me. I bought somewhat cheap replacement filters on amazon to keep it going.

Do you recommend any countertop filters that would filter mocroplastics?

Blue OOS. Green it is, I guess. These filter pitchers remind me of the days when a new printer costs almost as much as an ink refill. You can't get filters this cheap.
