Came across this deal while browsing Samsung's site this morning. They are offering $450 off selected Z Fold 6 colors, with no trade in. Using the education discount, which at least in the US is pretty much open to anyone, you can get the price down to $1,159.99 for a 256GB model with no trade in. Similar discount for the 512GB model is slightly larger.

Education discount and signup says I have to be a teacher or student, not a parent, and have to enroll. But I seem to be able to select it at the trade in stage, i.e. don't select a trade in. Not a bad price to not have to trade.

Seems way better than their one day only elevated trade in, which is showing $700 for my Pixel 8 Pro but only $198 for the education discount.

Why? Maybe they don't want to be handcuffed into Apple's system.

$935 for the 512GB with S22 Ultra trade in. Not bad at all given the MSRP, but still too much for me.

Trade-in doesn't appear to stack with $450 discount. When I selected to trade-in my S23, which has a trade-in value of $450, it comes to the same final cost as without a trade-in.
