I am not able to find any reviews or detailed specs for either the QD7 or QD6.
Does anyone know if this has local dimming?
Any thoughts on how this compares to the U76N?

btw Bestbuy has price matched

Thanks

Never mind - here are the specs...
https://static.pcrichard.com/docs...eet_01.pdf

Bottomline its missing Local Dimming and also eARC (for anyone that cares), so probably not as good as the U76N for dark locations

FWIW... QD7N spec section and rear panel pic on Hisense's website confirms eARC support on HDMI #1.

Actually... it doesn't have local dimming. It has full array backlighting, but that alone is the same as direct backlighting. Have to move up to the U Series to get local dimming.

My two cents for Hisense products - I would never buy anything from them again. The TV started having issues after 6 months and it is near impossible to reach their warranty dept. I finally had to call Costco and sick them on Hisense (Costco CS said this was pretty common with Hisense but they had luck reaching out to them every time). I then spent hours setting up a repair tech to come replace a panel in my TV, it did not fix the issue, then they sent me a refund check which was not the full amount. Then I spent many more hours trying to get the rest of my money after months of not reaching them.

I'm sure many people don't run into issues but if you do, you're in for a long difficult road with their warranty. In all, I probably spent 40+ hours on the phone with Hisense and had to leave work multiple times to meet the repair tech. Not worth it in my opinion dealing with Hisense but just wanted people to know what could potentially happen.

How does this compare to the U76 which has dimming zones?

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hise...Id=6571509

PS: I was in Costco this morning and Costco has the U76 for $1999. But I like Bestbuy as they do 2 yr no interest financing.

OK thanks but YMMV.. Nobody I know personally never had any TV fail, let alone hisense..So that .1% is always there. And they post on internets... The Internets LOL

This is a average TV...get the U76 thats at Costco instore for $1999 ...And Bestbuy has it for $2199.

That set has local dimming over this. Or just wait till Black Friday when the push for mini LED/LED TV's happen cos 2025 will be all OLED.
