Since the new iphones came out today, was checking out what Tmobile offered and came across this:

Coming soon...New & existing customers get iPhone 16 Pro ON US. Pre-order begins 9/13.

Via 24 monthly bill credits when you trade in an eligible device on a Go5G Next plan. If you cancel entire account before receiving 24 credits, credits stop & balance on required finance agreement is due. Bill credits end if you pay off device early. For well-qualified customers; plus tax (paid on full price of phone).

Because when you want to switch to an Android phone, you don't have to contact the customer support. I bought an iPhone 15 from work and I couldn't switch that number to my older android phone as I wanted to use my iPhone with my personal number. They refused to help me till a few weeks ago

Buying from Apple with the option connect to any carrier later is unlocked, i commented on the post which said finance through t-mobile which is locked to t-mobile

Pretty much on same boat.. no Good deal for Simple Choice since the iPhone 13 upgrade that Bestbuy gave.. I missed the boat on 14 upgrade when they offered similar like 13 but just $100 more..

Again, the cost I pay to T-Mobile is just $20/month with unlimited 5G... So, sill ok to go and get full price iPhone unlocked from Apple and pay in monthly non cost EMI via Apple card...

Apparently this has changed recently.

Last week an Apple CS told me she just bought an iPhone from Apple Store with T-mobile EIP and was surprised to find out T-mobile locked her phone during activation. All iPhones from Apple Store are unlocked but carriers are free to lock them when activated with carrier EIPs.

I'm still hoping this is not true as the Apple FAQ still only mentions iPhones with AT&T EIP would be locked.

That's a good deal. Sounds like a Kickstarter plan from Sprint.

I am sooooo sick of hearing these rants. You had a chance of jumping to a better plan years ago. But you were so stubborn to stay with your so-called great SC plans that you hung on and now you are beetching and moaning. TMO has given so many great opportunities for great deals on their services but you stood still. I was one of the later to jump from SC and I still managed 9 lines for $116 on Go5g Plus. I am dumb at math but I am pretty sure that's better than $28 a line and I am still getting at least $800 phone deals (I don't have any need for pro or max). I know people with 9+ lines paying less than $100. Cry me a river.
