I purchased ~ten of these from BH for some of the staff at our private school. If you know what you're getting into, this is an excellent deal.

The flaws of this computer are:
1) Only USB-C ports (not even a headphone jack)
2) Weird shortcut buttons on the right offset the keyboard slightly making touch typing a bit of a learning curve (also the keyboard shortcuts are all worthless)
3) HP tried to go 2016 MacBook Pro four years after MacBook Pros realized it wasn't a good idea

However, for $620 all of these issues are tiny.

The build quality is EXCELLENT. They really did get MacBook Pro level fit and finish. I specifically wanted an unibody chassis and this computer is $500 cheaper than pretty much any other comparable build.

All USB-C ports are thunderbolt, have displayport out, and can charge the computer. This was a big deal for me as my staff use USB-C docks and they beat the snot out of the ports. They now have three ports they can break before the computer has to be taken out of service.

Overall size is really in the sweet spot. The touchpad is excellent. The keyboard is decent (minus the weird offset).

I'm half tempted to order a couple more to have in inventory as they're just such nice machines for this price.

Regarding the T-Mobile Locked

"If you don't have access to Wi-Fi, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem that will only work with T-Mobile and provides broadband connectivity when paired with an appropriate service plan."

The HP Dragonfly Pro laptops consistently have the best integrated webcams on the market, MacBooks included. Very underrated feature in the hybrid and remote work era.

Can anyone find the chromebook variant of this? Can't seem to find that one anywhere.
Despite the three down votes - I am looking for the same thing.

3-3.5 lbs seems to be the standard range for 14" non gaming laptops so at 3.2 this is right in the middle rt?

These are similar to HP Elitebook, which are all aluminum chassis and thin and light. This is not a cheap flimsy plastic chassis laptop. It's a very premium solid laptop despite being very thin and the fact it's a touch screen makes it more impressive because the touch screen adds quite a bit of weight.

This is a pretty good deal on one of these considering you can buy a refurbished unit for about 700$ on eBay, and this is brand new for 619

I looked on there and it was unfortunately sold out last time I checked, although it updates all the time.

If you can stretch your budget to $800 you can get an OLED (FHD) display, a modern CPU and a dedicated GPU (3050).

Me too. I think that Google is going to have a big Chromebook event in a couple of weeks - so maybe something similar to a Dragonfly will appear.

Chromebooks with Snapdragon Elite chips would be nice. The CPU is not great on Windows, but would be amazing on ChromeOS.
