If they really want people to buy these, sale prices should be something like 512GB - $40, 1TB - $75 and 2TB - $125

Game pass is an unbeatable deal for grown ups who can't keep up with new releases….. but yeah I agree. Nothing very exciting this generation

Maybe when this drops to $130 it would be a good deal for 2TB. I'll stick with PC for now.

Still can't believe how bad they rip you for these and their essentially little brother the CFExpress B. FWIW you can buy containers that will take a 2230 NVME and adapt to this form factor for a lot less. I run the regular shorties in my digital SLRs.
You can't do that with XBox anymore. They encode stuff on the drives so only licensed drives will work.

Sauce, glad the camera makers can't do that I guess.

50, 100, 150. Would be the most I'd pay. But luckily I've just been deleting the games I haven't played. So I've been good on storage. BTW I loved hell blade 2 was an awesome game. A must play all the way from beginning to end.
WD expansion card 1TB can be had for $125. Hopefully they'll have a sale around $100 or less

Hey just saying you can get game pass ultimate for cheap from CDKeys.com (3 months for $29.79) they are stackable i bought 4 of them. works out to be $9.93 a month for ultimate ($119.16 a year). Cheaper if you want to do the VPN trick with international codes but I don't want to risk getting banned lol

I have gamepass, waiting for stalker 2 that keeps getting pushed back.
Me too. Frankly, I'm just waiting on anything worth my time at this point. Sony hasnt had the greatest generation this go around but Microsoft almost hasn't had a generation this go round. I've been super disappointed with my Series X + GP purchase. Ive gotten so little use of it that I ended up loaning it out to my younger brother hoping it would get use with him and while it has gotten more use than it was with me, he still plays PS4 Pro and Switch far more than the Series X. There just isn't much of anything worthwhile with Xbox this generation IMO. Hopefully that changes...Sony needs competition, the industry needs competition, and gamers need the competition but I don't anticipate that happening. Now that MS is releasing their exclusives on the Sony side, I think that likely finished the book on this generation.

It sucks when you buy years' worth of game pass on slick deals with VPN just for the games, not to be anything you want.

Is it that difficult to delete and download other games? I don't understand… plus do you think these will work in the next generation of consoles?

That's how I feel. When I got my Series X I figured I would eventually get one of these when the prices came down. Now that they finally are, I've realized that I only really play at most two or three games at a time, so there's no point in me having a million games installed at once. I guess if you have a shared family console or switch between a bunch of online multiplayer type games this could make sense, but I mostly play single player story-based games and smaller indie games, so there's no compelling reason for me to have a ton installed at the same time.

I mean, it can take quite a while to download a game and the updates. I can only fit 7 games on my 1TB right now. I still can't justify paying $200 just to be able to switch between ~20 games.

No, if you have game pass ultimate and always keep a few of your favorites on the drive it becomes a juggling act. I don't have a problem with it personally but my 9 year old son is forced to juggle between all of the new titles that come across GP ultimate with a 1TB. He likes Goat Sim 3 and also keeps a few others on there like a couple of Forzas I believe, but like someone else was just saying above, 7 games fills up that drive because the games are so big now. The one x should've came with a 2tb IMO or these should've been cheeper by now (I thought that's what everyone was saying a while back since both WD and Seagate make them now, but that never happened).

Agreed. I can't see why these are so expensive since they're just flash memory as far as I know (the controller is on the main board of the Xbox I thought).

Realistically the 2TB expansion cards shouldn't even be $150 after 4 years...
