I hope everyone here understands this fact. The center of the watch, the part that is in between the face and back... is plastic. I have the galaxy watch 6 classic. It's all metal and is durable. I work on cars and houses and use heavy equipment often... the protruding PLASTIC around the buttons makes me believe in the very near future, we will see people that have that part broken off and the watch will need complete replacement. This is what I felt when I held the watch... I did not keep it and I returned it because of this. There will be people that are indifferent on plastic or metal, to me the plastic is not only unappealing. But I think it will makes the watch less durable. I have smacked my watch on door jams and equipment just walking by. I do not think the plastic will hold up if you are rough or careless. I like to wear my watch without having to be careful. I do not want to worry about my watch falling apart or breaking. The watch is large enough that any case is too much. My G6 classic has no case, just a bezel cover and screen protector. With the ultra, I feel like I'd want a case for it as well but that would make the thing a monstrosity if you don't consider it one already.
My phone, I use a metal case with screws that hold it together enclosed with a silicone lining. It's the only kind of case I will use at this point.
I bought the G7 ultra on pre-order. I returned it because I didn't like the plastic aspect. I didn't give it a chance frankly because I was worried. If people in the future don't have issues, I might consider.
I wish there was a Jrig everything for watches so I could at least have some idea of how it compares to my G6 classic. At this point it's no longer speculation but... before pre-order everyone thought it was all titanium. If you look at the white version, the part that is white in the middle is the plastic I'm referring to. It's clear now but many many many people talked about it was anodized or this or that... but the verdict is in. It's plastic. The face plate and back plate are titanium. Just know that before you buy. I'm sure that aspect people will be ok with but personally I find it misleading and was extremely disappointed.
Garmin watches are fitness trackers and the best on the market for it. If you're an athlete looking for a device to evaluate performance, Garmin is much superior to this. If you're looking for a smartwatch, I think this one is a much better smartwatch.
This is something noone has really talked about except 1 or 2 reviewers... You CanNOT charge the watch Ultra with your phones Powershare... That's the primary reason why I'm not upgrading from the watch 5 pro.
When travelling, being able to use Powershare eliminates the need for carrying the watch charger, kinda insane that functionality is not on the Ultra.
This won't last then 2 days period. I have it, I love all the features and stats on the health side, but I wanted to share the only big drawback
I can go 4 days with mine while using the functions, easily Monday morning pull from the charger until Thursday after work, I've stretched it into Fridays before with less activity. My old Watch 5 Pro did 5 days. If it's enough for a work week, or almost, that's good enough for me.
Garmin watches are glorified fitness trackers. No comparison to this one.

I've had the Pro 5 and upgraded to the Ultra. I generally get a solid 3 days 2 nights on my watch (with AOD watch faces with 1 complcation refreshing). I don't run all the sensors with only auto workout detection and notification from text being the ones that come through.
I like the flatter asthetic vs the more pronounced hump on the Pro.
I like the quick snap bands vs the pogo pins from the last generation and you readily get bands from Ali,Temu.
For $225, it's what it'd expect to pay for this watch given watches priced at the MSRP (like Garmins) offer way more battery and better sensors. Because they took away function being able to charge via reverse wireless, with either competing watch you'll find yourself carrying a charger.
If you're picking up a Samsung watch it's because you value to seamless eco not so much for the features. The Watch 5 Pro is just about the same watch albeit slower with it's aging processor but still capable
iPhone user here, is it OK to wear it or I need Samsung phone?
iphone users will not get any support from samsung for this watch. Stick with apple watch. You can still wear samsung watch, it wont be a smart watch any more with ur iphone
They add tax on the full original price of watch and that adds 50$ extra and extra whatever you pay to get the trade in and that just kills the deal. I don't understand why Samsung always charges tax on full price. Best buy never does that and most retailers don't do that

Be careful. Had issues with this exact watch from previous offer/ 44mm LTE (battery would go down 50% in hour)...returned it.
They sent me an "unboxing" video of my return of which box was now empty, packaging clearly had been tampered with
So now I get to dispute with them and my credit card that I returned it...and still possibly be out the money for absolutely nothing
Can't file claim with fedex either, since it is samsung that provides the shipping label
That said your trade could go missing/they claim to never receive it with you on the hook as well
Found numerous reports of this elsewhere on internet in addition after it happened to myself
