They are spiteful and don't want to pay the company that owns the patent so they turned off the feature. Remember if it doesn't make money for them, they don't want it.

This is a really good point. If you followed any of the Pixel trade-in threads at BBY, you'll know that the elevated values were only applicable for a short time. Unfortunately, I missed them :/

If you have a lot of tech the full membership $200/yr or whatever it costs now is a great deal. I have tons of stuff including AppleCare and extended protection plans above the cost of the membership 🤣

I don't see an option for jet black with the blue sports loop band. Anybody has luck finding this in BB? I see that option in apple.

My S7 watch died while I was on vacation 2 weeks ago....14 months after purchase. Went into a swimming pool (for the hundredth time), on water mode, and it started spazzing. It tried to call the police, shut off, and now just endless reboot cycle.

Tried everything I can find...can't resurrect it. Wish I could have traded it in lol

The initial filing was across 103 potential infrigement violations. However, the Trade Commission did find that Apple *may have* violated two patents, totalling... 5 of the original 103 patent violations. It's not exactly a cut and dry case.

Masimo also has a yearly revenue practically in the billions... they know exactly what they are doing. And it's not like pulse oximetry didn't exist before Masimo existed.

FYI: I just traded my watch in for 330 bucks, and it was a 45mm one. No harm to try if you're not far from a physical store.
