I did it in the last Pokémon Go code thread and got 53 friend requests. Since I can only open 20 gifts a day, sorry to any of those people if we're not leveling up fast enough, haha.

Only one currency (PokeCoins) but too many cooldowns and limitations. For example they've hobbled this new Dynamax feature by limiting the amount of Max particles you can collect in a day, how you collect them, how many you can carry in total, etc. It's clear they want to frustrate people into buying their way around the arbitrary daily restrictions and of course walking around a lot (no remote Dynamax raids, etc.) for that tasty GPS data.

I make sure to send them if I can't open all of the ones I get. Your friendship still increases if one person opens the other's gift, it doesn't matter who does it.
