$1800?

FWIW, if you're a Total member, the price is $1200. Still laugh out loud

Yes, these quad bands WiFi 7 mesh devices are still expensive, but this is the first proper discount we have seen with them. Waiting for the Asus bq16 pro to get a discount

can someone explain why they would spend $1200 on this when that other one everyone is talking about is $20? just curious. is this like the monster audio cable situation with wifi, where people think this will be better for gaming or something?

Well, we're talking about the next generation wifi system here. This is somewhat new to the market?

But I understand your point, the cost is not proportional to the higher speeds when comparing wifi 6 to wifi 7

Does this come with lifetime Internet service too? I can wait a few years for WiFi 7 to become mainstream

Newest wifi with old devices that are not wifi 7. Unless you want to spend top dollar on new devices too

These things suck, I'm saying this as a blanket statement for the tp link wifi 7 series mesh given my own experience and others on tp link community forums - I bought the be11000 deco deal at Costco last month - it's basically like tp link has given up on quality control and is putting sub-standard product on the market. The wired Ethernet backhaul does not work with the wireless backhaul (as they claim), the satellites get confused and hit a loop back. TP Link has been very cheap and is using 2.4ghz chipset that only supports 20mhz channel width. The DFS channels are disabled because default, and you have to get a service support person to enable them, the 240mhz channel width is disabled, etc etc.

Having switched from the deco x68 to this, it feels like I've gone back to my horrible orbi systems I thought I'd finally escaped

This must be so powerful, that the waves between the 2 can cook a chicken in no time.

I am not quite sure why this is down voted. For people looking for a product like this, it is a very good deal, historically.
