10 coins collected = 1,000 points per level. So get all 10 coins before you reach the flag at the end of the level, if you want the max amount of points.
You can redo the levels if you screw up, but once you get to the end of the level it seems whatever coins you get is how many points you get. I accidentally got only 9 coins when I reached the flag on one of the levels, so I only got 950 points from that level. I beat the game and tried to play again, but it doesn't seem to reward points again.

Assuming that Kroger gas costs the same as elsewhere and that you fill up 15 gallons, that makes these 3850 points worth $15, which is about $0.04 per point. For me, the kroger gas station is usually $0.20-0.30 more expensive.
2250 points - save $10 on seafood - generic coupon that works on any item in the seafood department
This is about $0.044 per point, so it's a slightly better redemption.
I think the seafood is probably the best redemption (assuming you eat seafood). They also have a similar option for bakery, but I enjoy baking for myself. Once you get to the 1650/$5 redemptions, you're better off with fuel points.
