FWIW, Costco has had this 12kWh version for $6000 in the last couple of months. So if you can wait, it's likely to go back to that price again. Also they've had the 18kWh for $8000 a couple of times, which is definitely better in terms of $/kWh

I believe these will qualify for thr 30% tax credit. Get 3x and on thr 3rd one get the panel one and you should be able to migrate all your appliances over. With 3x units, you can have up to 21.6KW which is like a 90A service at 240V. If you have solar that feeds this, you can get off the grid completely if you don't have any natural gas appliances.

I have this setup (1 inverter, 2 batteries), has been working since April, and had solar (max output 2kWh) connected since June. Originally had an Ecoflow Smart Home Panel 2 but that failed after a week and I switched to a Transfer Panel. Has worked in Houston summer garage temps all summer without issue, and helped us get through the direct hit of Hurricane Beryl and 4 days of no mains power. Ecoflow say the inverter can work up to 45C, but only provide temp sensors for the batteries which seem to run consistently between 38-45C during summer months.

You can buy new extra batteries for $1945 and have up to 5 per inverter.

The inverter heats up the top battery. EF should think about spacers so there better airflow

I also have the same setup with Reliance transfer switch and 1500W solar. Running most household circuits (including 240V well pump) off grid from my garage for months. I run the AC Charger connection from a grid connected GFCI outlet through an isolation transformer to top up batteries if too many consecutive cloudy days. Installed for reliable power for my medical problems, and very happy with system and would buy again. Probably add 3rd battery when price drops further. Only complaint is lack of support for flex conduit connection for solar wires, as the unprotected solar wire connection is not really safe. I made a conduit solution but still have short MC4 connector wires exposed.

I believe this unit has 2 inverters inside working together

Are you concerned at all about fire risk with them getting up to that temperature in the garage? Or longevity?

Last week, mine was running 119 degrees in the garage.
I was skeptical of it running at that temperature, But it kept running perfectly.
I figure EcoFlow's 113 degree is on the low side of caution.
Caution, not danger! Many batteries operate in much hotter environment.

If you follow some battery/solar YouTubers, you'll see that the temperature will have a much smaller impact than time
