I am really wanting to get the 49 but need ti know if it does dual input switchable and split screen. I need to input two diff laptops .

I hope someone who has it can reply soon.
It does have multiple inputs. I'm running a personal and work machine on this monitor using 2 different DP's. It comes with a remote to making switching inputs easy. I does not (to my knowledge) have a KVM switch. I just use a cheapy one that isn't connected to the monitor. So I have to change the source and press my KVM button to switch between computers. The thing cost me like $15 and is just mildly inconvenient (I probably switch sources 20+ throughout the day).

It does have PiP and it looks like you can display multiple sources at once. That said, I tried it out when I first got it. it was a little tedious to change so I haven't used it since. If you are always going to keep the display split between sources it would probably be fine. But if you are doing that you would be better served by spending the money and getting a couple 32" or 27" monitors - one each dedicated to your different sources.

I see you are one of today's 10,000 when it comes to good ultrawide monitor brands.

Yes, they are a known good monitor brand.
I have a decogear ultrawide. They're cheap but I wouldn't say they're good. Poor QC. I had a few dead pixels out of the box. A fair bit of ghosting. It still works, it's fine. I just don't consider it a high quality monitor.

Oh I don't wanna switch, I meant I have 2 diff laptops I wanna output and split the 49 inch into two sides..that's what I meant.

And this for productivity not gaming etc.

Sure. You can do that but why not get two monitors in that scenario. I don't think splitting the screen offers any advantages vs two thin bezel monitors unless you really, really just want an ultrawide.

I was using 2 32" side by side before this purchase. I would have preferred to keep that set-up if I was going to always keep one input aligned with one machine and the other input aligned to the other machine.

You can absolutely return it with any dead pixels. I asked before I bought.

My experience has been the exact opposite. 6 months in and not a single bad pixel. I don't see any ghosting while gaming (couple hours/day).

It may sound like I'm schilling for these guys and of course I have no idea what your experience will be. I just know that I am super happy that I rolled the dice on the ultrawide. I passed up similar deals for several months as I dithered about whether to pull the trigger. Ended up saving me about $300 from what I was about to spend on a G9 that I don't think would have been any better for my needs. Now if you are looking at the OLED Samsung or the 57" Neo that's a whole different story. I would fully expect both to be significant upgrades (at double or triple the price).

Sounds like Walmart's house brand for drapes and decorative pillows but I'll take your word for it.
You aren't far off... Decogear is this store's (Beach Camera aka Buydig) house brand.

Does anyone know what the pixel density/PPI is on this? Thank you

I'm thoroughly confused about the effectiveness of this monitor given all the comments. I'm looking to buy a curved gaming monitor for my Son, but I've always read that 144hz is the minimal spec for fluid performance in 1440p. Price aside is this a solid choice for 1440p gaming or am I conflating all the specifications based off the nonstandard resolution?

I think there is a lot of confusion about these ultrawides (not just this one but any of the ultrawides made by LG, Samsung, etc).

For 49" models they are all equivalent to 2x27" monitors placed side by side.
For 57" models they are all equivalent to 2x32" monitors placed side by side.

As a result, the PPI for the 49" model will mirror what the PPI is for a comparable 27" monitor. This particular monitor is a 2K (or 1440p) resolution. Whether you are looking at 1 27" monitor that is 1440p or 1 ultrawide that is 49" at 1440p the PPI will be the same at around 109.

There are some 49" ultras that are at 1080p. These would clock in at 82 PPI. If you found a 4K 49" ultra they would be 163 PPI.

For what it's worth, 2K seems to be the sweet spot for these monitors right now. It takes one heck of a graphics card to power 2 4K 27" (or 1 ultra 49" 4K) monitors at maxed out settings. 2K is still very demanding but a 4070 or higher should be able to handle most things at this resolution.

You absolutely do NOT need 144Hz for fluid gaming. It's certainly nice but that's all that it is - nice. 120Hz is plenty good for all but the most discerning gamers (in which case you should be looking to spend double and grab the G9 OLED).

My post above hopefully explained the resolution problem. The easiest way to think about these is if you had two 27" 2K monitors side by side. That's all these are. You gain the benefit of one power cable, video cable, etc. You can still split your screen to have the same experience as side by side BUT you get the added benefit of no bezel between monitors if you want to stretch to just one big wide screen. Games like Red Dead Redemption 2 are really enhanced by expanding your field of view. And in my opinion, it looks way better than my previous set-up with 2 32" monitors side by side..

This isn't a top of the line monitor by any means. But it is a good $250-300 less than what the equivalent Samsung goes on sale for. I highly recommend it as a great starter ultrawide to see if you like it. The dirty secret that people won't tell you is that ultrawides are not for everyone. Plenty of people regret getting them. As a way to dip your toe in the water to see if he likes it or not I think it's a great buy.

My two cents.

There's nothing to be confused about. These aren't gaming monitors. They're low tier VA panels with low color gamuts and ghost like crazy in most games. These are designed for productivity and the workplace. You're not going to get anything of quality for gaming in these size ranges for less than $900.
