Agreed, these look the same as the Temu ones I ordered and within weeks they die. I paid $3 and even at $1, I would avoid.

I've purchased some from Amazon, now discontinued, for $8 each, a bit larger and have lasted years.

Sadly I have bought dozens of different solar light sets and most age very poorly in any sun the ones that have lasted the best for me is this one from Amazon "HMCITY Solar Lights Outdoor 120 LED". One of them did have some of the plastic around the screw hole get damaged but of the 6 I have used over 6+ years all still work, even if they don't all look good.

Save yourself the money and time. Get the Costco ones they are going 5 years and still strong as day one purchase.

Bought these and worked great for a few months. Now I have to uninstall them and find replacements. Save your money. These are not what your looking for.

I love the concept of these but hate how it works.

1. The brown plastic warps at a different speed than the light and solar panels. It'll either crack the solar panel or the clear part will pop off. Clear part is held on by a couple of screws.

2. Because the brown part warps, any weather seal will not work. The batteries inside over half of mine rusted.

3. Mounting tape they use suck against the heat. It'll dry out and pop off.

4. You can use screws instead of the tape but the warping of the plastics will mess it up.

Currently have a miscellaneous set of sorta-working-but-warped, some that popped off of where they were mounted at but still work, a couple with broken solar panels and another couple with rusted batteries.

If you set it up 48 hours before guests arrive and then take them off when they leave, they might last years. haha…. Who has time for that?

I have had two sets of these lights on my backyard wall in Tucson sun for 14 months. One failed out of 32 lights due to water leakage. At $1 a light, these have worked out okay for me. Very pleasant lighting effect for my backyard.

If you or I post it doesn't get listed. I wonder why?
