There's a lot of things for Verizon deal. $35 line fee that one has to fight with Verizon to waive even if cancelled in 14 days. Too much time and effort while the difference is only $50 ish
(Assuming same current postpaid line used at Walmart then BestBuy, I'm looking to use this SE3 to get a cheaper 16 Pro)

Now if red pocket trick still work, cancel the line immediately and wait for 24 hr to invalid the Verizon eSIM in phone. Put red pocket sim in, request at&t to unlock immediately.
If red pocket is no longer working. Wait to activate phone by default Verizon eSIM, then cancel the line, wait for 60 days then Verizon automatically unlock the phone.
Both plans should be done within 3 days to avoid activation fee(automatic refund). Total bill from Verizon would be $2~$3
