I did look at other carriers which have the "iPhone on us" deals but they are all like twice the price for unlimited. I'm paying $100/month for four lines for unlimited basic with XM but T-Mobile was $225. No thanks.
Update: Just found a post in the Comcast_Xfinity subreddit where the Mobile rep posted some details of the promos, and the last line says [reddit.com]
"If customer downgrades to a lower tier data plan, they will lose the remaining bill credits"
Oof, f that!
Third accepted but was not being credited. CSR would tell me to wait, even after weeks. Reddit comcast Xfinity mods sent it up the chain. Still took weeks/months. Calls to executive relations went unanswered, answering machine with a full mailbox.
Overall 3 months back and forth, must have been manually credited. Still stuck with them but will look to switch when credits end.
Glad in a sense. Made it easy to skip this upgrade cycle and hang onto my 14 Pro another year
