In for 1. Best Buy charges 60$ for hauling away. I think I'll take my sawzall to my old one and slowly demolish it into the trash if I can't sell it on some local app. Metal in the recycle of course.

Take out mechanical/plumbing, remove the door and you can just push it under an existing cabinet for a dishrack.

Years ago (5, 6?) i was looking at panel ready 18" and found scratch and dent on ebay for under $900. I decided to not renovate kitchen yet. I'm assuming prices today are much, much higher than that unfortunately!

I'm considering 18" so that I can get a larger sink (right now sink is 22" and I could get a 28" but lose the 6" on dishwasher). My kitchen is a decent size, but the layout doesn't afford much wiggle room. The plan B option is that i lose 1.5 cabinets of storage (mostly utensil drawers) and move the dish washer. Also, at that time, I asked my realtor if an 18" dish washer would hurt resale and he said no.
