I will say that I found this tool to vibrate heavily. Good price and did the job, but later upgraded to the XMT04ZB, which is a lot smoother (but also big).

Mine also seems to 'skip' every now and then and the blade adapter is kinda finicky - it has worn holes larger on some of my blades to a point where the blade just oscillates in the holder as opposed to cutting the work piece. It works alright with proper blades but I enjoy my corded Fein a lot more.

I like the tool. It is heavy as a boat anchor, a two handed tool. I like the blade system and it seems to work perfectly with the cheap blades. If you are into the Makita system, you will use it and be thankful you have it. Used it twice this weekend.

I believe the theme with these multi tools is that the brushless version is much better than the non-brushless versions. Seems this way with other brands too. Wish the XMT04ZB one wasn't so expensive.
