Anybody know anything about this one? I bought a national geographic one for like $30 five or six years ago, and it works okay. Just for use by kids or on the beach, I'd say. This one might be better?

Unfortunately I paid more for mine. I will let you know, around 25 years I purchased a 20 dollar metal detector from Big 5. The first time I went to the beach. I found a platinum ladies watch with diamond chips around the face.
So if you have a beach or playground, even a lake with a sandy beach, My favorite place is campgrounds, I couldn't tell you how many treasures, I have found.
To Answer your question, I would jump on it. You'll earn enough treasures, that it will pay for its self.
