mine runs 24/7/365 with no pause. poor man's radon mitigation solution. the bottom of the barrel $20 broan ones last about 7-8 years non-stop like this this way without any cleaning or maintenance before the motor burns out. don't buy them on Amazon warehouse though... 2 out of every 3 that I have gotten that way have come with somebody's old burnt out fan put in the new housing and returned.....
Don't do it. There is a lot of work to replace your fan. Just get most expensive one and never come back. And by expensive I mean $200 fan
Well this is one people will use for the landlord special.

Yes, it was in the clearance section.

By the way, this is 80CFM, not 30. They need to update the description.

I don't think you need to spend $200 for a quality fan.

Panasonics are my goto replacements. They can be had for well under $200.

Not always. It's actually pretty quick and simple if you have good access.

I agree about the better ones though. Besides a nice quiet fan being just that, it's more likely to be used when it should be vs a cheap loud fan roaring away. I like Panasonic for these myself

I rather have the loud ones to drown-out the noise (big noise).

I agree that this is not a simple job for many people. There is no standard size for bathroom exhaust fans, especially if yours are older. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Even if yours is louder than you like, it is usually only running for a handful of minutes everyday.
