Ingredients: Italian tomatoes, Itallian Tomato Puree, Eggplant, Whole Milk Mozzarella, Egg, SOYBEAN OIL,

Breadcrumbs (wheat flour, whole wheat flour, whey, sugar, SOYBEAN OIL, Yeast, Spice, more flour )

Onions, Pecorino Romano Cheese ( Sheep's milk, salt, cultures, rennet, enzymes,)

Parmaigiano Reggiano, Garlic, Olive's Oil, Spicees

edit: Fat is less than 10% by weight. Most of the fat is from cheese with an estimated 6 to 8 grams from the oil for frying the eggplant which was olive oil but is now soybean oil. This is a negligible amount imo and did not alter the taste. YMMV.
I found the breaded eggplant to be well seasoned, firm yet tender with good flavor. It's hearty not soupy. 22 servings for $11.89 is 54 cents per serving. Seems slick to me for fresh frozen real food with no added chemicals which is also a comfort food. No sugar was added to sweeten the fresh tasting bright red Italian tomatoes. I like that it's split between two trays for easy freezer storage and faster reheating.

That's a lot of sodium. Granted frozen food have more sodium but this feels excessive, especially when in reality this is prob 4/5 servings

Soybean oil is highly inflammatory and bad for your health. This is a hard stop for me.

It has substantial flavor and texture which is something coming from one who does not ordinarily eat pre-prepared food. . Soybean oil used is for frying the eggplant about 6 g per serving. To me it tasted the same as the original olive oil recipe. The Italian tomatoes taste bright sweet and fresh with no added sugar. 22 servings of comfort food for $12 seems like a deal and the perfect item for unexpected guests so I stocked up. I can't find any data to support the claim that soybean oil is "highly inflammatory". It contains linoleic acid intake of which should be kept in moderation for a healthy gut biome.

I think these companies know we would gladly pay the $0.20 per package difference for them to use evoo or avacado. At this point it is malice.
This goes 4x for the "healthy" subbrands who insist on canola and soybean.

Soybean is not the worst oil; however, not good nor best (i.e. EVOO or avocado oil). In fact, Soybean oil has been the subject of some health concerns in recent years:

1. High in Omega-6 Fatty Acids: Soybean oil is very high in polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids. The typical Western diet already contains high levels of omega-6 fats, and an excess of omega-6 compared to omega-3 fats has been linked to increased inflammation and chronic disease risk.

2. Hydrogenation and Trans Fats: Much of the soybean oil consumed is partially hydrogenated, which creates unhealthy trans fats. Even small amounts of trans fats have been shown to increase the risk of heart disease and other health issues.

The 6 -8 g of soy oil per 170 g serving is insignificant. Nutritionists consider his a healthy choice superior to the many low quality immigration frozen foods out there with 50% by weight soy-sugar-wheat-corn-chemical additives. I do not have side effects on triple servings like I do with most frozen fare. Best food deal I've seen in a while. Costco money-back guarantee,

It's all relative to the amount consumed. The main concern is not the above but consuming excessive levels of Linoleic Acid from all food sources which impacts the digestive track biome in a negative way. Soy oil is high in linoleic acid. You can also consume probiotic like a good grade of yogurt with foods like this to offset the effect of Linoleic acid on the gut biome.
