Has anyone actually purchased from Greentoe? It looks a little too good not to be a scam.
All the time. Now, if you get connected with a bad seller, your experience may vary. Only once, it took them forever to ship (the end camera shop). It was the 40 2.5, which was sold out all over at the time.

I've never used this portion of green toe before (where the price is listed up front) but I've bought multiple Sony FE lenses through them and they've always been shipped by legitimate retailers I'm familiar with.

I have used Greentoe for two camera bodies (A7III), a few Sony & Tamron lenses, a GE Cafe refrigerator, and two LG OLED's over the years. Apart from the fridge being back ordered longer than I would have liked, I have never had any issues. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase through them again.
This price makes me want to get the 24-70 even though I already have the 20-70.
In terms of Greentoe, my previous purchases with them were all pretty good, however in my last purchase, the merchant charged my PayPal account even though they did not have the lens in stock and did not know when it would become available, so after several days of no communications I called the merchant and cancelled the order.
Pros for A7IV- better ergonomics (more custom buttons), better viewfinder, focus joystick
Pros for A7CII- compact, AI focusing chip
(I don't do much video, so have not compared resolution/ codecs or framerates)
It was an easier decision when A7CII was cheaper of the two, but looks like Sony is discounting A7IV (there are rumors that A7V will be released in the first quarter of 2025)...at this point I will get whichever feels better in my hand.
