Am I the only one who thinks the original chicken sandwich is disgusting? Every time I try it, it's not crispy, is way too salty and has the texture of what I imagine a soggy sponge is like.

I don't think their original chicken sandwich is actually same as its original sandwich. It used to be much better, and I would get it all the time. But, they changed something. It was very noticeable, and I stopped ordering it altogether. This was a long time ago. They might as well update the name to not original anymore chicken sandwich.

Yeah. It only took one try, years ago. The sauce was weird too.

As a kid it was good 40 years ago "fresh".

5 years ago it was microwaved mayo, lettuce, chicken patty and sub roll.

Haven't been back since.

The chicken sandwich is the worst sandwich from any FF place I've ever tried. Way worse than frozen breaded chicken sandwiches from the grocery store.

Go to a chicken FF place if you want a chicken sandwich not burger FF place.

I noticed too. It's not worth wasting money to find out I'm still disgusted by it and still hungry after a bite.

I'll buy a sandwich before eating a free chicken sandwich from BK. Just not worth the energy to eat it. On the list of only if I'm broke now.

Time flies, it was probably 15 years ago. Night and day difference.

BK was the easy quick choice for me for nearly 10 years if I wanted a sandwich for lunch. When chicken sandwiches went to microwave frozen patties and the marinade one had a sauce change. All chicken sandwiches got put on my do not buy list from BK. I want to be able to consume the food I pay for. It serves a purpose. I don't want to find more food after I've sat down to eat for lunch.

Glad to read it's not just me that noticed the change in their original chicken sandwich years ago, outright an abomination. Gave me that angry feeling of dissatisfaction and disappointment on money wasted. I ended up giving the patty to the stray cats and stuffing the nuggets in there with my own fresh lettuce tomatoes onions in there. Idk if that's even chicken anymore.

I stopped eating at BK a few weeks ago when they increased the with-coupon price of Whopper from $2.99 to $3.99.

I wondered about that. Haven't eat it in a very long time but assumed like everything and everyone else they cheapened the ingredients and not the same as it used to be (aka good). I may go for the croissant though they are at least okay.
