No they shouldn't. Just because you can't take advantage doesn't mean that they should be banned.

I can't take advantage of any Micro Center deals. I don't whine about banning the posts.

Good luck to those that can get this fan. Installed this in my laundry room and it works great.

Is this easy to replace without attic access?
Doable but on a difficult scale for a DIY

I have a bathroom with no fan currently so I would have to cut this in and wire it up. Are you routing the exhaust outside? Not sure I want to cut a hole in my roof for sure.Surely you aren't just dumping it in the attic.

Correct, needs to vent outside. It would cause mold if you ran it into the attic. Its blowing moist air into a hot box.

Are these pretty universal if you have a bathroom that was remodeled in 90s or 2000s or do I need to measure before picking up?
You will likely have to cut out a larger hole as these are bigger than most builders Exhaust fans. The biggest challenge will be to install this if your existing fan has the exhaust and wiring on the opposite side of this new unit. It may cause you to have to extend the wiring in the vent and you might have to add a junction box to stay within code for the electrical

Great price but 'whisper' is very much an exaggeration, they move air but my god they're loud, first night after i installed it, it kicked on in the middle of the night and woke us up. They're quieter than many other builder grade products but not quiet by any means. I thought it being loud was a fluke so i returned it and bought two more to try, they were each the same volume-loud.
I have a couple and completely agree. These are better than the really cheap models but I would never pay full price. If you want something quiet look at the Delta line carried by Menards. I have a 150CFM fan that is equivalent to the 80cfm setting on these Panasonic Whisper units.

Too quiet isn't good either you'll wake everyone up when you take a dump
Very good point. I don't want people to have the play by play when I'm pinching a loaf.

Great deal. Have been using one for 3 yrs. I paired all mine with Lutron timers. Just have to remember for at least the Panasonic DC fans to use a timer with neutral wires.
