This thing is enormous and looks ridiculous on wrist.
This is true of almost all of the modern Garmin smartwatches. But you have to expect some size and heft from durable watches with battery life greater than 1 week. Apple and Samsung watches are pretty fragile and need to be recharged every other day at best if not daily

Somebody here turned me onto The Quantified Scientist. His review of this isn't very inspiring. He says it's a good device but if you compare it to any of the reviews he's released in the 2.5 years since this was reviewed, it fares poorly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEPjAS7MWP0
It's an old device with limited capabilities, and doesn't do that well with HR tracking or sleep monitoring. I can't imagine what about this is worth $200.
Thanks, FYI the solar is also on sale for $100 more than this. I have the original Instinct Solar and I love it. I charge it 1-2 times a month or even less if I'm outside a lot.
Having gotten an Instinct 2S Solar, the 40mm version, I'd say don't be afraid to size up to this. The usable screen is smaller than comparable watches of the same size and the E-ink display isn't as easily readable as other smartwatches. I'm just using mine for hiking since the GPS will actually last more than a few hours. And you can use Garmin Explore to load trail maps on it.
