No matter how many times or how thoroughly I clean my lid, it still makes my water taste like sour rags. I'll stick to my red solo cups.

Well you have to use a clean rag to clean, not a sour pre-used one. Also, completely different purpose than a red solo cup.

No rags used. Soaked in soapy water, lysol, bleach, vinegar, I've tried it all.

Different purpose? Debatable.

Hydro Flask is used to drink liquid from. Solo cup is used to drink liquid from.

Looks to be the same purpose to me.
