I have 15 in my basement for the gym. Smell was gone within a week. If your putting on concrete I would suggest putting some type of underlayment.

Great price, I recall spending like $100 for a single 4x8 foot one @ TS several years ago. I used it as a pad for a safe.

I have these for my basement gym, they're great! Smell went away in a day or two. Highly recommend.

Just use these to finish up the gym flooring in my basement.

They are almost as good as the old TSC tractor stall mats.

The new TSC tractor stall mats have the diamond elevation which is terrible if you want to smooth gym floor. They also charge $50 now when it used to be 35. It was worth the 40-minute drive to pick these up for me.

man i wish we had a Blain's F&F in the NE...
to buy for their actual use, our pig houses, not a silly home gym... remember the days when i had to drive all over the tri-state area to pickup mats for a new pig house, because the home gym bros were buying them all up.

excellent price, i'd stock up for the next build at this price.

Can these be used as a cheap grappling mat?

I have those. I just flipped it over, iirc and that side was smooth.

Initially, yes. I have about 25 of them in my basement gym. When I first got them I laid them all out across the back lawn and left them there for a week. After I brought them in, it was several more weeks before the odor was mildly noticeable and probably a couple months before I didn't smell them at all. I have a very sensitive sense of smell, so others might not notice the smell after a week or two.
I have a dozen in an upstairs gym and it's been over a year and I can still smell them right when I enter the room. The smell has dissipated but never eliminated. That being said, they are extremely rugged(and heavy) and I'd still probably buy them again for a garage or home gym.

I have the TSC ones with circular pattern on one side and I like it better as it allows more air flow. It feels completely solid on the floor with the flat side up (circle pattern down) as if both sides are completely flat.

I was originally thinking of getting the Blains ones here but called the local TSC and they priced matched theirs for 35. Hope this helps.
