Note, this is not the same machine as the one being sold by Ninja direct or other retailers. This is a walmart specific model which is smaller and has 2 fewer options/settings than the FS301 model.
Someone's already stated that this is not the same model being sold by Ninja, which is absolutely correct. This is the 72 oz model with 3 program settings, not the 88 ounce model with double the programs. The containers are not interchangeable (they fit, but won't activate the safety switch). I don't think the pre-programmed modes are really all that necessary, but you might appreciate the extra volume of the 88 oz version.

I have both and I disagree. This makes waaaay smoother frozen drinks. Yes vitamix has many other uses, but this makes a pretty damn good frozen margarita, and frozen espresso martinis

I own a Margaritaville Key West Frozen Concoction Maker Blender and if given the choice, I would buy that over the Ninja. It's just so easy to use the Margaritaville to make any drink you want on demand. It shaves the ice and then it blends it - perfect drink every time

I understand having to wait for the Creami so the solids can freeze but the actual usage is about 2 minutes. To wait up to an hour for a drink is a bit....much
You understand that this freezes the drink from whatever above-freezing temperature it starts at without adding any ice, right? Water has a lot of energy per unit so it's not going to happen instantly. It has to chill the drink through contact with the central cooling element while keeping it mixed so it doesn't turn into chunks of ice.

If you have to wait for it to freeze, it doesn't matter if it's 2 minutes of actual usage. You can say the same about the slushi, once it freezes it's only 4 seconds of actual usage.
